Writing a blog is something I used to do growing up. I did at least a short post every day... no matter what! I haven't blogged in quite a long time. But that doesn't mean I cannot do it now! Especially given the life that I lead now. I think the life of a mom is definitely the interesting life... plus, now when raising another life you learn something new every day no matter if you want to learn it or not! In the almost 3 years my daughter has been alive I have learned more than I ever thought a human being could teach me.
This is a picture of my gorgeous girl and I. Without her.. I would not be where I am today! She makes me feel like I am great in this world, and that I am loved no matter what. Who knew such a little girl could have so much impact on a life, but she really turned my around in so many ways. We've been through a lot together in her short time on this Earth. Between me almost dying after giving birth to her, my mother dying (her Nana) when she was just 8 months old, and her having surgery on her leg when she was about 1.5 years old. Amongst many other things that happened as well. She has always been my rock, and mine her's as well. I couldn't imagine having the strength I do going through half of those things without her. Who knew the strength of a mother could be so endless. But I couldn't imagine it any other way.
Slight transition, but cooking has always been a passion of mine. I never thought I was all that good, though. But the more I cook the more I think I am getting better, and considering cooking is something that I have always thoroughly enjoyed... of course I would be happy to be getting better as well! I have really been looking a lot into many recipes and just trying to teach myself new ways of preparing food, especially healthy options! When raising a kid you'd rather them eat healthy over a bunch of greasy things. I am lucky that my daughter is much like myself when I was younger. She is a big fan of veggies, chicken, and a lot of healthy things. She is one of those kids that you can put fries or apple slices in front of her and she will sooner take the apple slices over the fries any day! (I have actually tested this theory on multiple occasions and it still rings true even to this day).
Well, I guess this is a good start to the blog... Whether I get a following or not is okay with me, but ultimately I want this for myself, and those close to me that choose to read this.
